Terms and Conditions

Himalaya Thunder Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. is a well – known Government Register Trekking Company in Nepal. We are trustworthy and fully committed to giving you the best service. We accept your bookings under the following terms and conditions.

While making your trip with us, we need a photocopy of your passport and 15% of the total amount a non-refundable booking deposit is required for every trip booking per person of trip cost + Terms and conditions to book a trip:  for Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan and Sikkim domestic flight ticket amount to buy the ticket, The rest of the money can be paid upon arrival at our office, full payment is required before departure the trip and for your last minute booking before a week you need to pay the total amount of money as an advance.

The Himalayan Thunder trek will satisfy most guests by interpreting the Himalayan region to prove that as lightning can sprout, humans can splash in beautiful and picturesque places.

Bank service charges should be paid by the clients themselves at the time of deposit.

Also, the client can make a payment by credit card please click here and fill the form. For the payment by credit card, we only accept Master Card and Visa Card, and 4% extra will be paid by the clients themselves as a card processing fee.

Similarly, you can pay by Western Union Money Transfer or via Money Gram also.

Risk & Liabilities

We are committed to providing the best services which will give you once in a lifetime journey. Himalaya Thunder Treks always puts all its efforts honestly and sincerely in making your journey smooth and pleasant. All the services will be provided as per the agreement between you and us at the time of booking. However, all Nepal, India, Tibet, Bhutan & Sikkim tour is run are strictly under their policies and Tourism Authority. Himalaya Thunder Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. or its agent shall not be responsible for any change or cancellation of programs due to unavoidable circumstance such as Government restriction, Landslide, road blockage, flood, avalanches, political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay, sickness or accident, breakdown of the vehicle, Any extra cost incurring there of shall be borne by the clients on the spots. So it is most advisable for clients to have full insurance against medical and personal accident risk. Cancellation insurance is also the most recommended.

Cancellation Policy:

If our clients fail to make their trip or want to cancel their program due to any unavoidable circumstances following charges will be made for the Trip Cancel
(The 15% trip booking amount is fully nonrefundable once clients pay it) the amount from the flight ticket is refundable if it is canceled before one week, and a 30% cancellation fee will apply.

When making the final payment for the trip before it starts the day in our office No refund will be made.

Program Change/Delay:

The itinerary can change without notice due to unavoidable circumstances beyond our control like weather hazards, Landslides, political unrest, road blockage, avalanches, sudden sickness, etc. The program can be customized as per the interest of the clients, and if Himalaya Thunder Treks cancels your trip due to unavoidable circumstances like war, natural disasters, political unrest, bad climate, etc., Himalaya Thunder Treks would be happy to refer you the alternative trip of a similar standard. We keep it preserved for your next time but not longer than one year.

Price Changing:

We reserve the right to revise the pricing rate if posted in our marketing material and website, under any circumstances, or on the pressure of various external factors that are further than our control, for instance, changes in the exchange rate, government action, etc. Most of the time, domestic flight fare is changing due to fuel price hike up. We always try our best to make a preset price in our treks/tours, Climbing / Expedition.

Passport and Visas:

All clients must have a valid passport with at least six months’ validity from the return date. Nepalese visas can be obtained from the Nepalese Consulate in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Airport. Nepalese visas cost is USD 25 for 15 days and USD 40 for 30 days to date.

Travel Insurance:

Our clients must have a comprehensive travel insurance package. Their insurance must cover against medical, personal accident, emergency evacuation, and trip cancellation, lost of gears and natural calamity, theft of or damage to baggage and personal effects, etc

Flight delay:

Flight by plane and helicopter are prone to cancellations and delays for notorious weather in remote areas and some time operational complications which could be happened in particular in Everest region Lukla flight, Annapurna region Jomsom flight, Dolpa, Simikot, and Jumla region, etc.
(Most of the Time Mountain flights are delayed without letting know us, the trip usually is 6:30 am in the mooring, and you have to be airport at 6: am, but most of the time they delayed more than hour, if we go late they put the Second flight passengers on 6:30 am so, we need to be there at the flight time, be prepared for this)
When these flights are considered in the itinerary, it is also recommended to carry extra money to buy food and accommodations in case of delays. Himalaya Thunder Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. will not be responsible for these additional expenses or costs incurred from lost connections, so plan accordingly.
Trekking in the remote areas or in as described above, especially during odd season, you’re highly advised to reserve extra days to prepare with some delays and avoid frustrating consequences. In case of delay in flight before trek departure or at the end of the trek, you need to meet your accommodation, food costs by yourself.

CULTURAL AWARNESS

(1) if ordering dal bhat for lunch , it is not polite to order addistional food as it will take the people longer to prepare dal bhat is also see as a meal by itself. if can be ordered with tea. 
(2) women need to wear modest clothing. wear 3/4 shorts and ashirt when swimming at the pools.
.(3) Dont fiush toilet paper down the toilet as the pipes are too narrow. put the toilet paper in the bins provided or carry out with you.
(4) every guide has particular guesthouse that they frequent due to the good service and hospitality provided. respect the guide by staying at the pre - selected guesthouse.
(5) whwen trekking, dont bargain the food and accommodation prices, they are fixed. during the new season your guide may arrange a lower accommodation price on your behalf.
(6) dont expect hot water, while the sign says there is hot water it is often not the case as the hot wateris reliant on solar heating.
(7) if using porter only carry what is necessary. while they may be very strong, they also get tired and sore. 
(8) respect your guide and their assistants. they are doing their best to assist you.
