Seti River Rafting

Overview

  • Duration: 2 Days
  • Trip Grade: Easy

Seti River offers a gentler alternative to Kali Gandaki rafting with fairly tame class 3 rapids with contrasting scenic areas of Manaslu and Annapurna regions. It’s a better choice than a similar trip starting on Trisuli, as it takes you away from the road and has a fine green jungle corridor and beautiful white sand beaches for camping. Seti River has relatively small volume but blue and warm water often recommend as an ideal small trip for new rafters as well as "Warm-up" for intermediate kayakers.

Seti River Rafting is popular among birdwatchers groups who often scheduled this as a part of their itinerary from Pokhara to Chitwan. With lavish vegetation along the river is a remnant of the vast forested area. Seti has fame of its dazzling scenery, as a gentle river attracts families, bird watchers, nature lovers and dreamers in this rout.

After 6 hours bus drive on Prithivi Highway from Kathmandu you will be with the river for whitewater challenge. From the put-in point Damauli it passes 35 km to put-out point Gaighat, Chitwan. Seti River water temperature is incredibly warm, making it popular choice for winter and for kayak clinics. After you completed the rafting trip, you will get choice to continue your journey to Chitwan for jungle safari or back to Kathmandu.
