Bhote Koshi River Rafting

Overview

  • Duration: 2 Days
  • Trip Grade: Moderate

Bhote Kosi River starts from Tibet which runs alongside the Araniko Highway. Probably Bhote Koshi is the steepest and hardest commercial rafting river of Nepal. After a 95 km bus drive on Araniko Highway from Kathmandu you will be with the world's best whitewater rafting. Bhote Koshi is the most booked short whitewater challenge in Nepal.

The river drops steeply offering relentless stretches of class 4-5 level of whitewater. In low water it's like a pinball machine you are as the ball; in medium it flows more like being flushed down the U bend of a huge open toilet. With 2 days duration it’s the most exciting and short rafting trip, probably Nepal's best whitewater adventure. If you are new for rafting with a short time in Nepal it's for you perfectly.

Bhote Koshi is a very steep and very continuous mountain stream with unique combination of outstanding fun and challenge with rapids as well as green environment of riverside. Bhote Koshi as Cold River normally it's best to run it in the window between high water and winter November, March and April.
